The
Plasmon family of Archive Appliance optical libraries
offer a Network-Attached Storage approach to optical
storage, combining the performance of Hard Disk
and redundancy of RAID, with the simplicity and
rapid deployment of NAS, and the unmatched security,
reliability, and longevity of UDO Optical, to
provide a secure, long-term archive for electronic
business records that require authenticity and
preservation, as required by a number of laws
and regulations for data retention.
Based on their proven G-Series and Gx-Series
optical libraries, Plasmon Archive Appliance libraries
are configured with a built-in Network-Attach
Storage server, up to 2TB of hard drive space
for high-performance disk caching, gigabit Ethernet
interface, and pre-installed jukebox management
software to manage the archival of data to UDO
optical media stored in the Archive Appliance.
